MUTTON STEW
It is a yummy side dish for appam, pathiri, chappathi etc..
Mutton - 1/2 kg
Green chillies- 4 splited 
Ginger, garlic - 1 tbsp each chopped
Cardamom - 2,3 pieces
Cloves - 2,3 pieces
Cardamom - 3,4 pieces
Whole pepper - 2,3 nos
Onion - 2 chopped
Tomato - 1 chopped
Potato - 1 cubed
Carrot - 1 cubed
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Garam masala power- 1 tsp
Black pepper powder- 1 tbspn
Thick coconut milk - 1 cup
Cornflour - 2 tbspn
Curry leaves - 2 strings
Coconut oil - 3 tbspn
Salt - as required
Pressure cook mutton pieces along with whole masala, salt, 1/2 cup water,carrot cubes & green chillies.
Slightly fry potato cubes in little oil & keep aside.
In a saucepan, add oil saute chopped ginger & garlic.
Add sliced onions with little turmeric powder & saute for 4,5 minutes. Add tomato pieces & cook it till it becomes mushy.
Add cooked mutton pieces along with carrots & fried potatoes.
Add garam masala powder, mix well.
Add thick coconut milk & let it boil on a low flame for a while.
Add black pepper powder and check for salt. If wants add enough salt.
Make a paste of cornflour with little water, add it to the gravy. Soon it starts to become thick.
Drizzle s tsp of coconut oil on top & garnish with fresh curry leaves....
Serve hot..
